Pokémon GO Trainers will be able to gather in Melbourne next weekend as part of a major community celebration tied to Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global.

Taking place at Queensbridge Square in Southbank on July 11 and 12, the free event is being promoted as the largest Pokémon GO event ever held in Melbourne.

The community event will run from 9 am to 5 pm each day and coincides with Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global, which, for the first time, will be completely free for all players participating in-game.

The debut of Mega Mewtwo X headlines the event itself. Players will also be able to complete Special Research to encounter Zeraora for the first time in Pokémon GO.

Additional event bonuses include:

  • Increased Shiny encounter rates
  • Special Research and Timed Research
  • Up to nine free Raid Passes per day
  • Expanded trading and Gift bonuses

Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global will run from 10 am to 7 pm AEST each day, while the Melbourne community event at Queensbridge Square is free to attend for any and all wishing to attend.
