Niantic has revealed details on the next season of Pokémon GO, simply titled ‘Season of GO.’
The changeover begins on June 1 at 10 AM local time and finishes on September 1 at 10 AM local time, during which there are a bunch of new events happening, community days and more.
Game Changes
Beginning on June 1, players who are level 31 and above will earn be able to earn Candy XL. It’s a significant change, meaning when those players reach level 40, they’ll have some ready to use on their Pokémon.

Pokémon In The Wild & Eggs
In the Southern hemisphere where I am, Winter Form Deerling will be in the wild along with Larvitar, Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup and more. Sandshrew with that sweet shiny chance is back in Mountain locations and Galarian Stunfisk in city locations for those seeking good PVP IVs. Riolu, Emolga, Axew, Rufflet, Noibat, Goomy and Jangmo-o will be in 10km eggs as well.

Events
Adventure Week is back between June 7 and June 12, which will see the return of fossil and rock-type Pokémon. A Pokémon TCG Crossover Event is also planned between June 16 and June 30 for the upcoming release of the Pokémon GO themed Pokémon TCG set.
Ticketed Events
Of course, the worldwide Pokémon GO Fest 2022 is happening next weekend on both June 4 and June 5 between 10 AM and 6 PM local time each day. You can buy a ticket for that right now in the game, although there will be F2P elements to the weekend if you don’t want to pay for the ticket. Three in-person events are coming up over the next few months, with exact dates yet to be confirmed. They’re for Berlin, Sapporo and Seattle.

GO Battle Day: Mankey
On June 18, from 12 AM until 11:59 PM local time, you can compete in 20 sets of battles instead of 5, and there will be 4x Stardust awarded for wins. Mankey will also be guaranteed to appear as a reward encounter between 11 AM and 2 PM local time, and if you evolve it to Primeape up to two hours after it ends, it’ll learn the charged attack Cross Chop.
GO Battle Weekend
On July 9 from 12 AM until July 10 at 11:59 PM, it’ll be GO Battle Weekend, but full details are yet to be revealed.
Pokémon GO World Championships Event
An event will feature the Great League and Fighting Cup, with more details to come.
