The Pokémon Company is teaming up with Aardman Animation, the team behind Wallace and Gromit, on a new animated series titled Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d and Pichu.

Announced during the Pokémon Presents July 2025 showcase last night, the animated series is set to release in 2027, but we got our first look at the series in a short teaser trailer, which confirms that the series will be set in the Galar region, which makes sense, as Aarman Animation is a UK studio.

The trailer focuses on a Wooloo, which also makes sense given Aardman Animation is also known for creating the very popular children’s character Shaun the Sheep.
