Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet: gen 9 is releasing in 2022 + more all the news from Pokémon Presents
<p class="">The next generation of Pokémon is here amongst the rest of this week’s insane work schedule. </p>
We got a short-ish Pokémon Presents early Monday morning to celebrate Pokémon Day, and with it came the big tease of Pokémon Gen-9, plus a few other small announcements.
Here is all the news to come out of the Pokémon Presents.
Pokémon Go
Alolan Pokémon are showing up in the game from March 1. Alolan Executor is back in the game again right now! Please catch some tall-neck friends.
Pokémon Masters EX
There are 142 trainers in the game now, and there are many new features in the game. Pokémon Master EX has been running for two and half years now, but if you haven’t tried it out yet, you can join now and get a bunch of free gems when you sign up.
Pokémon Cafe Remix
Delivery mode with Pelipper is being added to the game. Pelipper will deliver food to Pokémon far away and unlock new costumes that’ll give you bonuses in the games’ puzzle modes. There’s also a bunch of new Pokémon coming to the game this year.

Pokémon Unite
New ‘Full Fury Batles’ mode added now. Pokémon Day event is happening now with Hoopa joining the game, log in, and anybody can play as Hoopa, but complete all its special missions, and you’ll get Hoopa’s Unite license. The event runs until the end of March 14. Also, log in now and get an exclusive Pokémon shirt for your character. Plus, Duraludon is joining the game next.
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Pokémon Shining Pearl
The remakes are getting an Oak’s Letter via a Mystery Gift, letting you capture Shaymin, the Gratitude Pokémon. The event runs until Sunday, March 27 at 14:59 UTC.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus
“Daybreak Update Ver 1.1.0” is available later today. Adds a new mission about investigating large outbreaks of Pokémon, plus new battles in the training grounds. And there was a tease of Dialga and Palkia origin forms at the end of the trailer for the update.
You use code “ARCEUSADVENTURE” in the game now to claim x30 Ultra Balls, x30 Gigaoton Balls, and x30 Jet Balls.
A new animated series is in production based in the Hisui region.
Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet
Pokémon generation nine games were officially revealed following a trailer where a police officer checked what was happening in the Game Freak offices. I thought this would be a Detective Pikachu game, but it was not.
Game Freak didn’t show much in the teaser other than a couple of locations and recognisable Pokémon. At least, up until the final few seconds where it was revealed these were the ninth generation Pokémon games, and they’re called Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet.
We got our first look at the starters in the game.
I call them Green Cutie Kitty, Hippo-has-a-pocket Friend and Toupee Duckie.

The laid-back Fire Croc Pokémon that does things at its own pace. -
Quaxly
The earnest and tidy Duckling Pokémon.
The new games are coming in late 2022, which is shocking to me, to be honest. I didn’t expect the next Pokémon games in the mainline series to be released until 2023 at the earlier and thought we’d get a Let’s Go Silver equivalent during this showcase.
