Prime Video has revealed the first teaser trailer for its upcoming Carrie television series and announced that all eight episodes will premiere on October 7, 2026.
The announcement was made during the series’ San Diego Comic-Con panel, where Prime Video also debuted new key art and confirmed the release date. The book is being adapted into a series by Mike Flanagan, who has previously worked on several Stephen King adaptations, including Gerald’s Game, Doctor Sleep, and, most recently, The Life of Chuck.
The series will mark the first time Carrie has been adapted for television, and rather than simply retelling the original story, Carrie is described as a contemporary reimagining that explores how the classic tale unfolds in the age of social media.

The series stars Summer H. Howell as Carrie White, and Samantha Sloyan as Carrie’s mother. The supporting cast includes Siena Agudong, Alison Thornton, Joel Oulette, Josie Totah, Arthur Conti, Thalia Dudek, Amber Midthunder, and Matthew Lillard.
