We had an actor for the upcoming God of War series on Prime Video playing Kratos, but unfortunately, we’re about to get a new one after an on-set accident.

As reported by Deadline, Kratos actor Ryan Hurst has been let go from the role after suffering a biceps tear on set that could keep him out for up to six months.

We previously had seen one photo of Hurst on set as Kratos alongside Callum Vinson, who is playing Kratos’ son, Atreus. The two had filmed four episodes of the series, which was shooting two seasons back-to-back. A new actor will now be cast to replace Hurst, before they re-shoot.

What do you make of this news? Are you disappointed we won’t have Ryan Hurst playing Kratos in the Prime Video God of War series? Let me know in the comments section below.
