After leaking ahead of the Ubisoft Forward event, the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake was officially announced early this morning.
The remake will be released on January 21, 2021, for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake Officially Announced For 2021
The original game was released in 2003 for Xbox 360 and PS2 to much acclaim thanks to its story, platforming and the ability to rewind time. It was the first game in a part of a trilogy.
Production of the remake is being headed up by Anna Koul from Ubisoft Pune who spoke about the excitement and pride in remaking the classic game. It was also revealed that Yuri Lowenthal, the voice actor who played the Prince in the original game was returning to do the motion-capture and voice work in this remake.
