Rayman Legends Retold Reimagines The Classic Platformer In 3D
Ubisoft has announced Rayman Legends Retold, a 3D reimagining of the classic platformer
Ubisoft has announced Rayman Legends Retold, an update and “reimagined” version of the beloved platformer that brings Rayman back in a fully 3D adventure.
Revealed during PlayStation’s State of Play last week, the game looks gorgeous. It keeps the original games’ unique and stunning art direction, but bringing it into the 3D world seems to only add to the visual quality. The game will now use dynamic camera movements to switch between the side-scrolling and 3D worlds, and there’s also completely reworked cinematics. Ubisoft is teasing an expansion of the game’s story and characters.
The original game itself was also fantastic, featuring stellar platforming and the ability to play as Rayman, Globox and more in co-op across the ‘Glade of Dreams.’
The game will also feature a newly expanded soundtrack from series composer Christophe Héral alongside Grant Kirkhope, as well as fully voiced characters for the first time in franchise history.
Alongside returning levels from Rayman Legends, Ubisoft is adding a brand-new realm, four new musical stages and an ongoing challenge mode called the Cave of Trials.
Rayman Legends Retold launches on October 1 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2.
