Over the weekend I wrote about how Forge was going to be the new champion coming to Apex Legends with Season 4 in just a bit over a weeks time. That was all a ruse as Respawn Entertainment published a video today with Forge getting interviewed on ‘Stories From The Outlands’ and, well… he doesn’t make it to the end of the video alive.

The champion that killed him is named Revenant and has shown up once before in Apex Legends as the voice-over for the Halloween event in Season 3, Shadowfall. Their data has shown up in the game’s code a lot since then and data miners have long thought they’d be a champion coming soon and now its pretty safe to say (or is it?) that they’ll .be joining the game in place of Forge.
The bigger question I have is what’s Revenant’s beef with Forge? And also, do I really care for Apex lore this much? Apparently I do now.
To add insult to injury you can find Forge’s death box inside the game at the moment and receive what I assume is a limited time charm.
Head to the ‘Sorting Factory’ which is located south on the map and inside the big building where the train stops you’ll find the cameras from the ‘Stories From The Outlands’ segment and also a death box belonging to poor Forge. You can’t take anything from inside, but clicking on the charm will unlock it for you when the match is over, so make sure to ping your teammates so they know.
