Horror icon Robert Englund has joined the cast of Pinocchio: Unstrung, which is part of the ‘Twisted Childhood Universe.’

Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey may have started the whole thing, but it was the sequel this year that really kicked this universe into gear. The end credits for Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 tease all sorts of upcoming films in this universe, from Bambi: The Reckoning to Pinocchio: Unstrug.

Robert Englund is best known for playing the serial killer Freddy Kruger in Nightmare on Elm Street, of course, but he’ll now be joining a new horror franchise with Pinocchio: Unstrug, in which Variety is reporting he’s playing an undisclosed character.

Pinocchio: Unstrung is currently filming and will release sometime in 2025. Bambi: The Reckoning and Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare should be the next two films in the Twisted Childhood Universe, with a planned release date of early 2025.
