At the end of Scream (2022), the idea that escaping Woodboro means your safe was stated, but anyone who has watched Scream 3 knows that’s some B.S, and the teaser trailer for Scream VI is here to prove that point.

The teaser shows our returning survivors from the previous film, Sam (Melissa Barrera) and Tara (Jenna Ortega) Carpenter, along with Mindy (Jasmin Savoy Brown) and Chad (Mason Gooding) and the new character, David (Josh Segarra), all on a subway car filled with people in Halloween costumes. Of course, there are a lot of Ghostface masks, but it’s the one that’s staring right at them they should be worried about. The tagline riffs on Alien to purpose that “In New York City, no one can hear you scream.”

Scream VI will also see the return of Hayden Panettiere as Kirby Reed from Scream 4 and Courtney Cox as Gale Weathers. 

Samara Weaving was also cast last year, although there’s no news on what character she plays in Scream VI. Eagle eyes fans would be able to spot someone in costume as her character Grace from Ready or Not, the 2019 film from Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillet, before taking the reigns on Scream (2022), who are returning to direct Scream VI.

Although Scream (2022) only released this year, Scream VI is set to release on March 10th, 2023.
