If you’re enjoying Apple TV’s latest hit series, Slow Horses, the good news is you might not have to wait long for the second season.

In an interview with Deadlineseries director James Hawes revealed that Apple has already got the next season ready to go, saying:

“Apple have already shot the next six, and they will air sometime later this year. And there is every hope and intention that there will be another couple of seasons in the immediate future.”

The series is based on the series of novels by Mick Herron. There is plenty of material for adaptation. The first novel, “Slow Horses“, was released in 2010, and there have been six novels and three novellas since then, with a seventh novel, “Bad Actors“, set to release next month.

In the same interview, Hawes talks about loving the production and the team at Apple TV and See-Saw Productions. He also mentions that star Gary Oldman was a big fan of the books and was attached to the project when he got on board. If you’re a fan of the show, give the whole interview a read at Deadline
