A live-action Spider-Man series based upon the Spider-Man: Noir comics, where Spider-Man is older and living in 1930’s New York City during the great depression, is in the works from Amazon.

According to a report from Variety, the currently untitled series will not star Peter Parker as the Spidr-Man of the 1930s. Orzen Uziel (The Lost City) will reportedly serve as the writer and executive producer on the series, along with producers Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Amy Pascal.

Lord and Miller had previously brought a version of the character to life with Nicholas Cage voicing in Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse. Cage has stated he wouldn’t be returning in the sequel

Amazon and MGM+ are working together on several series based on Sony-owned Spider-Man characters, including the already-announced Silk: Spider Society from showrunner Angela Kang.
