After years of working on random stuff to help with the Call of Duty games, Toys for Bob has been allowed back on a new project closer to their heart, and they’ve officially announced Spyro: A Realm Beyond, the first original Spyro game in nearly 20 years.
The studio, which is behind Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, revealed the game alongside its debut trailer, confirming a 2027 release window.
You can watch the first trailer below:
The biggest standout in this first trailer looks to be continuous flying. Unlike previous entries, where flying was limited to specific levels or gliding mechanics.
Spyro: A Realm Beyond hasn’t shared much yet, but the game is set to release in 2027 and is sure to be anticipated by anyone around my age who grew up playing the Spyro games.
