Star Wars Zero Company Lets You Build An Entire Squad Of Astromechs

Star Wars Zero Company is not at all surprising in its leaning into squad groups, and the ability to customise these squads before missions, and design teams to work better in some missions over others. And although there are plenty of options for teams built of members with big personalities, there’s also going to be the option to send in an entire team of astromechs, and also, of course, Clone Troopers.

Bit Reactor confirmed during a recent virtual preview presentation that astromechs are a unique unit class in the tactics game. You can fully customise your droids, use multiple astromechs in the same squad, and, if you want, make up an entire team of them.

Lead designer James Brawley said the studio wanted to “support unusual squad compositions” and see how those choices change the strategic possibilities inside missions.

Bit Reactor has even created a new astromech model for the Star Wars universe, the BR1 series.

You won’t be able to make a full Clone Trooper army from the get-go, as they become recruitable only later in the story, but at that point, you’ll also be able to make a full Clone Trooper squad and play Star Wars Zero Company in a full Clone Wars style.
