Helldivers II showed off the end of an intense mission with many aliens before revealing an updated release date for the game. The video also explained how you’ll be upgrading your weapons, ship and character between missions and how easy it is to drop into missions with friends and call them back into action if they die during a mission.

Helldivers II will be released on February 8 2024.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

Play

Answering some of the hot Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 questions, you’ll be able to switch between Miles and Peter on the fly, and there will be some missions where you can take it on as either Spider-Man or you’ll need to go in as a particular character. There will also be a lot of flair to add to each mission, with over 65 suits in the games and over 200 different ways to outfit them once you add in colour variations, etc.

The new gameplay video also teased previously unannounced Marvel villains for the game, including Mysterio. There’s a new AR vision that the Spider-Men have access to that will help track down side content easier than ever before, and there’s a lot with the map in this game being nearly double of the first game.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will release on PS5 on October 20.

Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn

Play

Tales of Arise is getting an expansion this November

Honkai Star Rail

The new game from the miHo Yo will be released to PS5 soon, on October 11.

Foam Party

Play

Square Enix’s game, which looks a lot like Splatoon but with foam instead of ink, is getting an open beta from September 29 until October 10 on PS5.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

Play

There’s going to be a lot for Final Fantasy VII fans to break down in this trailer with a bunch of other FFVII characters, including Vincent, making their first appearances, as well as fan-favourite locations like The Golden Saucer, including all the classic mini-games seen in that location. As always, the weird stuff with Sephiroth continues, and the mystery around Square Enix’s plans for this remake trilogy is ever as exciting and confusing. And we got a solid release date!

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be released on February 29 for PS5, and the game is two discs if that sort of thing excites you.
