Movies
1.) Spirited
The Will Ferell and Ryan Reynolds music (that’s right, musical) from Apple TV+ has shot to the top of the charts as it debuted last week. Apparently, Aussies are ready for some Christmas spirit. We discuss Spirited on our Christmas podcast, ‘A Very Explosion Network Christmas,’ if you want to hear my thoughts on the film and Ashleys. One of us liked it, while the other hated it — try and guess who.

2.) Knives Out
I should have seen this coming, but Knives Out is back in the streaming charts just as Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery debuts in cinemas for one week only. You can expect to see Glass Onion in these charts when it hits Netflix on December 23rd.

TV Shows
1.) The White Lotus
The second season of The White Lotus continues to captivate, and after this week’s episode, it’s not hard to see why. The show is very well written, with interesting and layered characters that are a joy to watch.

2.) Wednesday
The new Tim Burton series starring Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams debuted in second place, which isn’t bad considering it only released on a Friday. Still, given its huge success and the numbers Netflix is touting, I expected to see it in the first place. That may happen next week.

3.) 1899
This series is one of my most anticipated things of the year — and I’m still yet to watch it! I’m sure I’ll get there soon, but it’s got me and others excited for one factor: it’s from the people that did Dark, which is a fantastic series.
