JustWatch has revealed the top streaming movies and TV shows for the week of 02/07 – 08/08.
Unsurprisingly, Suicide Squad (rent now via Prime Video) has appeared out of thin air to take the top movie spot this past week. This is the 2016 film, which is not to be confused with the release of The Suicide Squad last week, which I did write a review for last week. Jungle Cruise (rent now via Disney+) makes its appearance in the top three this week, debuting on Premiere Plus the previous week. The lockdowns around Australia would have stopped many people getting out to watch it in cinemas, even if they’d want to do so. And in third place this week is Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard (rent via Prime Video), which dropped from first place last week.
This week, the White Lotus (stream now via Binge) moved up from third to first place as interest grew in satirical comedy. Ted Lasso (stream via Apple TV+) currently sits in second place with the third episode of the season releasing this past Friday, and in third place is Why Women Kill (stream now via SBS On Demand). This comedy crime/drama just finished airing its second season on Paramount +, and we’re expecting that to be purchasable via Apple sometime soon.
