Summer Game Fest 2024, hosted again by Geoff Keighley, was streamed live this morning from Los Angeles, delivering video game announcements, trailers, and updates.

Keighley surprisingly touched on the layoffs that have been sweeping the industry. He took an interesting route with a positive outlet, showing that eight of the ten biggest games on the Steam charts are indie games and that big companies should treat their people right because there’s more than one way to make it in this industry.

Horizon Adventures

Play

The rumoured LEGO Horizon game has been announced, and it’s something different. Featuring an isomorphic view, a focus on co-op, and combining the silly ideas and nature of LEGO games, this isn’t a crossover that, on paper, makes sense, but it looks like a great time. The co-op will be both a couch co-op and an online one. No word on cross-platform, but hopefully!

Horizon Adventures is coming to PlayStation, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
