Geoff Keighley hosted the Summer Game Fest Showcase for the first time in 2023 in front of a live audience. It felt more akin to a typical E3 show while keeping the Keighley production and pacing. Hideo Kojima had no appearance, but he was named dropped at least once.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
Although The Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake development has been rebooted, Ubisoft has another game up its sleeve with the reveal of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. This game looks like it features classic PoP gameplay, with side-scrolling action, platforming and puzzle solving.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will release on January 18, 2024, for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
Mortal Kombat 1
The first gameplay of Mortal Kombat 1 looked bloody gorgeous, with fatalities galore.
Ed Boon then came out on stage to talk about the game and how the game is something of a continuation of the alt-universe that was opened in Mortal Kombat 11, being the setting of this game. Which means it’s basically a reboot. He also talked about the ‘cameo’ feature in Mortal Kombat 1, where you can call in another character to join in your combo almost at any point.
Mortal Kombat 1 is set to launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch on September 19 2023.
Path of Exile 2
A fresh little bit of gameplay looked great, and more is coming on July 28.
Street Fighter 6 x Exo Primal
The first DLC for Street Fighter 6 will be a cross-over with Exo Primal. It’s mech-Ryu fighting some dinosaurs.
Street Fighter 6 is out now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Dead By Daylight
The most fitting cross-over to be announced in recent years has to be Nicholas Cage being added to Dead By Daylight. Even better, Nicholas Cage came out and talked about being added to the game in the most Cage-like interview.
Nicholas Cage is coming to Dead by Daylight on July 25.
The Witcher: Season 3 – Part 1
Our first trailer for the upcoming third season of The Witcher arrived during SGF.
Witchfire
A new trailer for Witchfire reveals an Early Access launch is coming on September 20, and exclusively it seems to the Epic Games Store.

Remnant II
Remnant II gets to be the first game on multiple showcases after having been on the Guerrilla Games Showcase a day earlier. Nonetheless, here’s a new trailer for the upcoming sequel.
Remnant II releases on July 25 on PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
Sonic Superstars
Sonic and friends have a new look in this 2D Sonic game, which will be released later in 2023.
Honkai: Star Rail
Genshin Impact developer miHoYo is bringing their latest game Honkai: Star Rail, to PlayStation 5 later this year.
Lies of P
Taking the Pinnochio story in directions you could never have guessed. Lies of P looks stunning in the latest trailer, with some terrifying-looking enemies.
Lies of P will release on September 19 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. A demo is available now on all of those platforms for you to get hands-on yourself.
Sand Land
This game comes from Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball and is set in a world where demons and humans live together. You’ll be playing as a demon prince, but not much else is know at this stage.
Annapurna Interactive Showcase
Announce a showcase, in a showcase.
The Annapurna Interactive showcase is coming later this month, on June 30.

A launch gameplay trailer for Crash Team Rumble showed off N.Gin side-by-side with Cortex.
Alan Wake II
Sam Lake entered the stage right to talk about the upcoming Alan Wake II; he spoke vaguely about the game’s story. Lake, also called Alan Wake II, Remedy’s first survival horror game. Interestingly, he also revealed that you’ll be able to switch between Alan Wake or new character, FBI agent Saga, seemingly, whenever you like and play through their stories in the order of your choosing.
We then got our first look at un-cut Alan Wake II gameplay from the point of view of FBI agent Saga.
Alan Wake II will release on October 17 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Warhammer: Space Marine II
This a very intense trailer for the upcoming Space Marine II, which has a co-op campaign with up to three players.
Warhammer: Space Marine II will release later this year.
Yes, Your Grace: Snowfall
A sequel to Yes, Your Grace, this one looks to be upping the ante on the kingdom/sim management.
John Carpenters: Toxic Commando
It’s a lot of zombie slaying in this game coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC in 2024.
Baldur’s Gate III
Jason Isaacs voices a new bad guy in Baldur’s Gate III.
Baldur’s Gate III releases on August 31.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
A box art reveal was followed up with concept art depicting Kraven and then Venom fighting out Spider-heroes. Venom was also confirmed not to be Eddie Brock or a Venom we’ve seen in the movies or comics.
Geoff Keighley then scores himself an exclusive: Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will release on October 20 for PlayStation 5.
PalWorld
The game that’s basically ‘it’s Pokemon, but they have guns.’ will launch into Early Access in January 2024.

Xbox and Porsche have teamed up to create some limited edition Xbox Series X consoles based on famous Porsche vehicles. They’re not for sale, but you can win them.
Fae Farm
This cozy farming game is coming to PC and Nintendo Switch on September 9.
Marvel Snap
Ben Brode came out to speak about Marvel Snap and make fun of Keighley’s skills in card games. Conquest is a new mode coming to Marvel Snap next week.
King Arthur: Legends Rise
A bit of a weird trailer, but this game is out next year.

A new gameplay trailer for Immortals of Aveum focused on a level where you’re battling on top of a giant mech in the middle of the ocean.

Fortnite – Chapter 4, Season 3
The next season of Fortnite launches tomorrow, and it’s titled ‘Fortnite Wilds,’ with Optimus Prime joining the game.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
All those tweets from the FF7 Twitter account lead to this moment. Our first extensive look at Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. This trailer raises many questions, but there are plenty of combat and locations in here to salivate fans for at least some time.
