Upcoming Superhero-themed hack-and-slash action RPG Superfuse recently announced its Early Access release date for January 30th 2023, alongside an action-packed new trailer.
Superhero themed hack-and-slash, Superfuse sets January as Early Access release date
Superfuse is being developed by StitchHead Entertainment, their second game after their 2018 release of Kabounce! A multiplayer pinball sports game that is sitting at 90% positive reviews on Steam. Their latest project is being published by Raw Fury, the publisher behind Star Renegades, Sable, and the recent Dome Keeper.
I played a little bit of Superfuse at the most recent Steams Next Fest and noted in my little black book that the game possessed an “interesting way to make your abilities unique”. Superfuse boasts the ability to ‘Hypertailor’ your power set to your playstyle due to a tech tree that is as deep as it goes. This will be the core concept of Superfuse. Just as it is in any good ARPG, you choose between two character classes and begin to optimise your hero through weapons, armour, and boosters looted off the many enemies you will meet across the Solar System.
Being superheroes-themed, Superfuse features a very interesting comic book art style to go along with its action-RPG gameplay. The game’s website also boasts that the game has a fully voiced story-driven campaign, where you will uncover a hidden conspiracy between humanity and an alien menace, with many twists and turns promised.
You will be able to experience Superfuses’ promised fast-paced combat in either solo or coop, with drop-in and drop-out campaign modes. If you are interested in seeing a bit more, the big wigs over at IGN have 15 minutes of gameplay released several months ago.
What do you think of Superfuse? Will you be checking it out at the end of January? Or do you think you will wait for the full release?
