At this year’s The Game Awards show, it was Clair Obsur: Expedition 33 who came out on top. The game already had one record to its name: the most-nominated game in The Game Awards history, and it went on to win nine of the ten awards it was nominated for, including the big one, Game of the Year.
There wasn’t any other game that managed to pick up more than one win in any category. Still, Nintendo did manage to pick up two awards: Donkey Kong Bananza won Best Family game, and Mario Kart World won Best Sports/Racing game.
