HBO has announced that The Last of Us: Season 2 will debut on April 13 in the US on HBO Max.
For us here in Australia, the series will likely debut on Binge on April 14, as that’s the Monday when the new HBO/Max series premieres in Australia.
Season 2 of The Last of Us will follow, at least partially, the story in The Last of Us: Part II videogame from Naughty Dog and Sony PlayStation. The show’s creator, Craig Mazin, has previously shared with The Verge that the second game’s story will probably take several seasons, reportedly now three in total, to cover and that the show’s second season could be shorter than the first.
Alongside the premiere news, HBO also shared three new posters for the series, one with Joel (Pedro Pascal), another with Ellie (Bella Ramsey), and the last with the new character Abby (Kaitlyn Dever), who will play a significant role in the story going forward.
What do you think of the posters? Are you excited for Season 2 of The Last of Us to debut on April 14 here in Australia? Let me know in the comment section below.
