Prime Video has released a new teaser trailer for the third season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, confirming the series will return on November 11th, 2026, and giving us our first proper look at Sauron making moves to forge ‘the one ring.’

Revealed during the show’s Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con, the teaser offers a new look at Middle-earth as Sauron’s plans unfold; check it out below.

Season three is set five years after the fall of Eregion, with Sauron’s armies spreading across Middle-earth as the free peoples attempt to unite against the Dark Lord.

Prime Video also confirmed several new cast members and their roles, including:

  • Eddie Marsan as Thrain, King Durin IV’s older brother
  • Andrew Richardson as Anarion, Elendil’s younger son
  • Adam Young as Marnûkh, a mysterious Orc
  • Simon Pegg as The Balrog

They join previously announced additions Jamie Campbell Bower as Celeborn and Zubin Varla as Khamûl the Easterling.

The first four episodes of season three will premiere on November 11th, followed by episodes five and six on November 18th, with the season concluding on November 25th.
