When Wizards of the Coast announced that there would be a one-of-one “The One Ring” card in
MTG: The Lord of the Rings, the big question was who would pull it—and what they’d do next.
We now know: Canadian collector Brook Trafton opened the card and sold it to musician Post Malone,
reportedly for a life-changing sum (widely estimated around $2 million).
Trafton revealed the sale on TikTok, saying he wanted the card to go to someone who would appreciate it
as much as he did.
“When I found the One Ring, the first person who came to mind was @Post Malone.
I have played MTG since I was a kid and obviously it would be amazing to keep this card. But for a guy
like me, being able to sell it is life changing. I just really hoped it would go to someone who would
appreciate it as much as I do… I am forever grateful.”

Secret Lair x Post Malone
in 2022 and has appeared on MTG shows like The Command Zone. With the grail card now in his collection,
