Fifteen years after The Social Network chronicled the creation of Facebook, writer Aaron Sorkin is returning to the world of social media with The Social Reckoning.

Sony Pictures has released the first trailer for the film, which is described as a companion piece to David Fincher’s acclaimed 2010 drama. Rather than focusing on Facebook’s rise, The Social Reckoning turns its attention to the events surrounding ‘The Facebook Files.’ The Wall Street Journal investigation exposed the company’s internal knowledge of the harms caused by its platforms.

The film stars Mikey Madison as Frances Haugen, who leaked the thousands of emails, while Jeremy Allen White plays Wall Street Journal reporter Jeff Horwitz. Alongside Madison and White, the cast includes Wunmi Mosaku, Betty Gilpin, Billy Magnussen, Bill Burr, and Jeremy Strong.

The Social Reckoning releases exclusively in cinemas on October 8.
