Tokyo Game Show 2020 Cancelled, Will Move Online

The 2020 Tokyo Game Show has been cancelled. The event was scheduled to take place from September 24th to 27th.
The news came from the official TGS website which posted the following notice:
“Due to the outbreak of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) on a global scale and the situation remains unpredictable in Japan as well, the organizer and the co-organizers have reached this decision after a long consideration to place the utmost priority on the health and safety of visitors, exhibitors and stakeholders. We ask for your kind understanding and cooperation.”
The event will now move online in some capacity although more details on the TGS 2020 Online Event have not been revealed.
This makes TGS 2020 the latest in a long line of events to be cancelled and move online in the face of COVID-19.
