Tokyo Game Show is joining the online convention route for 2020. 

TGS 2020 was cancelled back in May, and the statement at the time mentioned that they’d be considering options for what to do next. What they’ve decided: five-day online event. 

Tokyo Game Show 2020 Online will take place September 23rd – 27th as an entirely digital convention.

Organisers are already looking to feature exhibitors, esports and setup online areas for networking.

In keeping with the traditional stuck tire of the show, the first day will be for business and industry people only. The next four days will be open to everyone however and exhibitors will be free to show off gameplay or other products like they usually would. 

The exact structure of all of this is yet to be determined but it’s going to place on the TGS website.

TGS 2020 Online will be free of charge to attend.
