Tom Holland could be set to start in Christopher Nolan’s next film.
The film, which has its plot details kept under wraps and will presumably be kept as secret as Nolan wants them to be until he’s read, is scheduled to release on July 17, 2026. It’ll be the second project with Nolan and Universal.
Although it’s been reported for a while that Matt Damon is on board, and I’d expect to see at least one or two others from Nolan’s regular pool of favourites, The Hollywood Reporter is saying that Tom Holland, the actor most famous for playing Spider-Man in the MCU could be set to stare.
This would be the potentially game-changing role for Holland, who has had box-office success in MCU films but has yet to find his footing in post-Spider-Man roles.
Christopher Nolan’s last film was the mega-successful Oppenheimer, which not only made an exuberant amount of money at the box office but also won several Academy Awards, including Best Picture. By all accounts, Universal Pictures gave him a blank check for whatever he wanted to do for his next film.
