JustWatch has revealed the most streamed movie and tv shows for July 2021.
The Prime Video exclusive starring Chris Pratt all about fighting alien monsters in the future, The Tomorrow War (stream now via Prime Video), took the top spot for July, even with the mixed reviews from critics. A Quite Place II (rent now Prime Video) dropped into second place even as a premium rental coming straight out of cinemas into peoples homes. In third place is A Quiet Place (rent via Prime Video), as many viewers seemingly re-watched or watched the film ahead of the sequel’s release. In fourth place was Space Jam (streaming on Binge), where many, I’m sure, did a re-watch ahead of Space Jam: A New Legacy — which we did here an episode of What Do You Wanna Watch? Like the last two movies, The Hitman’s Bodyguard (streaming on Stan) landed in fifth place as many played catch-up before The Himan’s Wifes Bodyguard was released.
Explosion Network’s pick for best TV series of 2020, Ted Lasso (stream via Apple TV+), was the most-streamed series of July between re-watches and the premiere of the second season. Line of Duty (streaming via Britbox) landed in second place, following several weeks, where it was pretty popular thanks to the most recent seasons streaming online. Mr Inbetween’s (stream via Binge) final season landed it in third place this past month, while the premiere season of Dr Death (stream via Stan) proved immensely popular and shout-outs to its docu spin-off series. And in firth place for this past month was The White Lotus (stream now via Binge), which, as far as I’m aware, came out of nowhere and has seen growing traction between the word of buzz, and it’s certainly made me want to watch it as it has charted over July.
