1.) One Battle After Another

It’s no surprise that One Battle After Another took the top spot for the first month of 2026. It’s already an award-winning film, has plenty of other awards-season buzz, and stars Leonardo DiCaprio.

2.) Sinners

Happy to see Sinners still sitting high in people’s watching history for January. The film had been on HBO Max for a while now, but I’m sure the sixteen Oscar nominations helped push it up on some people’s watchlists.

3.) The Rip

This is the new Netflix Original film starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. It hasn’t done great critically; however, with big names, it was always going to rise on the Netflix charts.

1.) The Night Manager

Ten years after the first series, The Night Manager debuted on New Year’s Day and has taken Australian audiences, it seems, with this show making the top spot this month. And with the finale of the series airing on February 1, it wouldn’t be surprising still to see it in the February Top 10 list next month.

2.) The Pitt

Following its well-loved and critically acclaimed first season, The Pitt is already back for a second season and continuing its resurgence of medical dramas on our television sets.

3.) Heated Rivalry

The biggest success story of 2026 so far is Heated Rivalry, which, although it debuted in November and sat its season finale on Boxing Day last year, has picked up a lot of steam as word-of-mouth spread into the new year.
