Not to spoil the list below too early, but there are four episodes from Andor, and that’s simply because it was that good — and why it was our pick for the Best TV Series of 2025. Should we have limited this list to one episode per series? Nahhhh.
Here are our picks for the Best TV Series Episodes of 2025.
5.) Pluribus — Season 1, Episode 5: “Got Milk”

Rhea Seehorn is incredible in this episode, where she is alone for most of the screen time as the hive mind has decided they need space from Carol. The introduction of the lengthy voice message is brilliant, especially the choice to play it in full every time. Carol protecting Helen’s body from wolves is tense, while the drone sequence might be one of the funniest things on TV this year. The mystery of the hive mind continues to play out as Carol tries to learn more about them, leading to a solid cliffhanger discovery. A really fantastically constructed hour of television.

4.) Andor — Season 2, Episode 12: “Jedha, Kyber, Erso”

3.) Andor — Season 2, Episode 10: “Make It Stop”

The end of Andor starts here, with the first knowledge of the Death Star reaching the rebels, and Luthen is forced to make a difficult choice that ultimately leads to his death. While the focus is mainly on Luthen as we flashback to learn how he began his journey to become a rebel, the episode is a chance for Kleya to shine. Often the sidekick in the series, she is thrust into the lead as she infiltrates the hospital, where Luthen is being kept, with more flashbacks fleshing out their relationship. Perfectly written, beautifully shot and choreographed, they even manage to drop a humorous beat with the old alien woman Kleya uses. A high note for Luthen Rael, a man who ultimately sacrificed everything.

2.) Andor — Season 2, Episode 9: “Welcome to the Rebellion”

Two of the show’s main characters finally share the screen together as Cassian helps get Mon Mothma off of Coruscant. The show makes the delivery of a speech feel like an action sequence, culminating in a powerful monologue delivered to perfection by Genevieve O’Reilly. The rebels win the day, but Cassian ends up losing as Bix chooses to leave so Cassian can keep fighting in a heartbreaking moment that is somewhat healed by the first appearance of K-2SO. A thrilling episode from start to finish.
