Atari and Digital Eclipse have announced a new double pack celebrating 30 years of Toy Story, bringing classic Pixar games back to modern platforms later this year.
Toy Story: Retro Roundup! will include a bunch of classic Toy Story games in a single physical package launching on October 15 for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
And they’ve also announced Toy Story 3 Complete Edition, which brings back the 2010 movie tie-in game with upgraded visuals, improved performance, and content previously exclusive to the PlayStation 3 version. The release includes the game’s popular Toy Box Mode, which allows players to build and customise their own Wild West-themed sandbox world inspired by Woody’s Roundup. I played a bunch of the Toy Story 3 game on PS3, and can confirm it was a lot of fun, and something of a precursor to Disney Infinity.
Toy Story: Retro Roundup! collects several classic Pixar-era games originally released across platforms like PlayStation, SNES and Game Boy.
The collection includes:
- Toy Story (1995)
- Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue! (1999)
- Toy Story 2 (1999)
- Buzz Lightyear of Star Command (2000)
- Toy Story Racer (2001)
- A Bug’s Life (1998) as a bonus title
The collection will also feature archival bonus content, including behind-the-scenes interviews, rare development materials, featurettes and a soundtrack player featuring music from across the included games.
The Toy Story: Retro Roundup! + Toy Story 3 Complete Edition Double Pack launches October 15.
