The first trailer for Tron: Catalyst has been released, and it looks like it’ll deliver on its promise of expanding the original story set up in Tron: Idendity and the world of highly recognisable Disney films to the video game world.

In Disney Tron: Catalyst, you’ll play as Exo, a new program that can initiate time loops, something we haven’t seen in the Tron films before. And you’ll be taking on the overlords of The Grid and evading ‘Conn,’ an agent of the CORE. There’s apparently also a ‘glitch’ in the system that will be investigated.

Disney Tron: Catalyst is an isometric game and as Exo you’ll be able to do battle on foot as well on Light Cycle. Giving players the best of Tron world that we have all come to know and love. Hopefully the soudntrack is a banger, too.

Disney Tron: Catalyst will be released on PC and consoles in 2025. Bithell Games develop the game and will be published by Big Fan Games, which is a subsidiary of Devolver Digital
