Hidden amongst the listen of exciting things coming in the PS5’s next major firmware update was a couple of significant changes to PSN trophies. This includes a particularly long-requested feature from trophy hunters.
Firstly, you’ll now be able to track up to five trophies per game in the control centre. By the sounds of it, this means you’ll be able to ‘pin’ five trophies you’re focusing on and track them easily.
The system software update notes also state that “you can easily access information about the trophies you’ve added to your trophy tracker.” You’ll also be able to view the tracker dada in the pin-to-side mod to see more information about those trophies as you play the game.
The long-requested to how we view trophies are coming for all very soon. Trophies will now be displayed vertically instead of horizontally, a significant change and one that trophy hunters have been asking for as the current horizontal set-up makes it too hard to scan information about a trophies requirements.
Although not trophy related, the PS5 will now capture video when you beat a better time or high score and set a personal best in any challenge. You can then share those videos to show how you beat a friends score via Twitter or Facebook.
