After a rocky start to the release of Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader on Nintendo Switch 2, the developer, Owlcat Games, has now released a big update for the game, as well as announcing that every piece of the DLC for Nintendo Switch 2 will be free — as a way to make up for the game’s troubled launch.
When Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader was initially released in December 2025, players reported many bugs, including overall poor performance. Owlcat has said that this update will improve visuals, deliver better performance, and fix bugs on Nintendo Switch 2.
As part of their apology, Owlcat has said that all additional content for Nintendo Switch 2 players will be free, which includes the ‘Deluxe Edition’ content and every story expansion released for the game.
The first two expansions, Void Shadows and Lex Imperialis, are available now, while the third and fourth DLC packs will also be free when they release.
Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.
