There’s an anime based on Death Stranding on its way, as well as a live-action film.
When discussing the live-action Death Stranding film with Vogue Japan, Hideo Kojima revealed that an anime of the game is on its way as well.
He said in an interview, with machine translation from VGC:
“I aim to create a Death Stranding that can only be realised through film, one that could win awards at festivals like the Cannes Film Festival or the Venice Film Festival. In fact, we are also currently working on an anime adaptation.”
There’s so much Death Stranding happening now that you may not be able to keep up with it all. And it’s only going to expand with the release of Death Stranding 2: On The Beach in June, right around the corner.
With that said, there is a lot of weird stuff that happens in Death Stranding, and although I can’t picture the smaller and quieter moments making an anime adaptation, the weird moments are 100% made for an anime adaptation.
