These articles are about what video games are releasing each month, but since it’s October, here in Australia that means PAX, and all around the world, it’s the month before GTA VI.

October still has a lot packed into it. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, Star Wars: Galactic Racer, Phantom Blade Zero, and Gears of War E-Day are just a few of the games releasing this month that will take up a decent chunk of your time. I’m also looking forward to Valour Mortis, an alternative-history game, as well as the Australian-developed Bluey’s Happy Snaps hitting consoles. And the Apple iPhone Duo is releasing, which will be interesting to see how it performs for those who love to play mobile games.

Here are the major video games set to release in October 2026, plus some smaller titles we’re watching and exciting new tech and gear.
