Where can you watch Pokémon Horizons: The Series in Australia?
Pokémon Horizons: The Series is debuting on 9GO! here in Australia on February 27th.
The upcoming series is a big one as it’ll follow dual protagonists Liko and Roy, with their partner Pokemon Sprigatito and Fuecoco, but without any Ash Ketchum to be seen following his final chapter in Pokémon Horizons: Ultimate Journeys: The Series. The new show will feature a new yellow mouse in the form of ‘Captain Pikachu’, but we’ll have to learn more about this character when the show begins airing later in February.
Pokémon Horizons: The Series is debuting as part of the Pokémon Day 2024 celebrations, and Taito Okiura, vice president of marketing for The Pokémon Company International, said this about the series debut:
“With ‘Pokémon Horizons: The Series’ being the first new animated series released in more than 25 years, both longtime Trainers and a new generation of fans can look forward to exploring the Pokémon world in a fresh and unique way.”
Here’s the official trailer and synopsis for Pokémon Horizons: The Series.
“A new adventure is beginning within the wide world of Pokémon! Arriving at Indigo Academy, a girl named Liko receives her first partner Pokémon, Sprigatito. But she soon finds herself pursued by the Explorers, a mysterious group that’s determined to take the pendant necklace she wears. Liko isn’t on her own, though, as Friede, Captain Pikachu, and the other Rising Volt Tacklers offer her protection aboard their airship. Meanwhile, a boy named Roy dreams of becoming a Pokémon Trainer, unaware of the secret hiding within the Ancient Poké Ball he carries. As Liko, Roy, and the Rising Volt Tacklers set sail for new horizons, what kind of discoveries await?”
