Ashley Hobley and I have been very excited for Yakuza: Like a Dragon since its reveal. We’ve never played a Yakuza game before. It’s nice to know it’ll be available on more platforms coming into the end of the year as it hits the Xbox One, PC and Xbox Series X.
The reason we’ve been so excited, and the reason you should be at least intrigued by, is that this isn’t your normal Yakuza game. It’s an RPG.

Getting tired of the same formula the team at Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio decided to change things up for the seventh mainline Yakuza game. You now duel in turn-based baffles and can even summon ridiculous things, like lobsters from the sky.
Check out the trailer we got during Friday mornings Inside Xbox below.
The game will support Smart Delivery as well as cross-save between Xbox One and Xbox Series X. So if you’re 50 hours into this massive Yakuza RPG and decide to upgrade your console to a Series X, you’ll be able to.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon is coming to the previously revealed PS4 as well as PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X later in 2020.
