Dave Grohl Appreciation Day
by Ciaran Marchant (Bevan Beats #14)

Welcome to Bevan Beats! This is a fortnightly article and accompanying playlist from us at the Explosion Network. It aims to enable us the ability to share the music we love, discuss a certain theme, or share what we are simply listening to in our everyday lives. You’ll be able to find the playlist on YouTube and on Spotify.
For those of you that don’t know, I am a huge Dave Grohl fan. For those of you that already know this, you probably understand how passionate I am about this man’s music and what he has done for the music industry. I have spent days of my life just listening to Grohl’s catalogue of hits and may have been involved in a passionate debate or two on why he is so great. This playlist itself could have been triple the length but what I wanted to do was take you on a journey (a musical one!) through his career and highlight some of his best songs as well as some odd places that he appears throughout music.
Smells Like Teen Spirit – Nirvana 1991

Everlong – Foo Fighters 1997

Best of You – Foo Fighters 2005

Other amazing appearances and tracks include:
- Queens of the Stone Age – No One Knows
- Paul McCartney – Cut Me Some Slack
- Tenacious D – PODCAST
