Today Drinkbox Studios announced via a new trailer that Guacamelee! 2 will be releasing on August 21.

The sequel was announced last year at Paris Games Week during Sony’s pre-media showcase. The Metroidvania title will be coming to PS4 and Steam for $20 USD (AUS pricing currently unknown). It’s currently unknown whether the luchador’s quest will come to Xbox One or Nintendo Switch in the future.

Guacamelee! 2 picks up seven years after the original game and features improved visuals, new and refined abilities, and four-player co-op.
