Netflix Adds Hundreds of New Profile Avatars — from ‘Stranger Things’ to ‘Queer Eye’

Add a bit more personality to your Netflix home starting today with new profile pictures!

Since 2013, you’ve been able to have up to five profiles on Netflix, each with an avatar—traditionally a mix of generic animals and characters. Those were never particularly exciting, but Netflix is rolling out a wave of avatars pulled from its biggest movies and series so your profile can better reflect your tastes (and Netflix’s own originals).

You can pick a brand-new avatar today from Stranger Things, Orange Is the New Black, Lost in Space, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Big Mouth, B: The Beginning, Marvel’s The Defenders, Dear White People, Money Heist, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Okja, Voltron: Legendary Defender, House of Cards, Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia, Queer Eye, Fuller House, Alexa & Katie, Bright, True and the Rainbow Kingdom, Spirit Riding Free, Skylanders Academy, Super Monsters, and Project Mc².

Netflix still doesn’t allow custom profile photos—which is probably for the best—but it’s great to have options that actually reflect the service’s programming and let you show off your favourite shows to the rest of the household.
