‘Forza Horizon 2’ & ‘For Honour’ Lead the Charge for August 2018 Games With Gold

Microsoft has announced August’s Games with Gold, and it’s a proper mixed bag for Xbox players — prepare to race, slice, slash, and… paint!

Forza Horizon 2: 10th Anniversary Edition (Xbox One)

Headlining August is the second Horizon title from Playground Games. If you’re looking forward to Forza Horizon 4 this October, now’s a great time to warm up those engines.

The Forza Horizon 2 Standard Edition includes the full game of Forza Horizon 2, the official Forza Hub app for Xbox One, and the Ten Year Anniversary Car Pack, which features 10 specially tuned and liveried cars, including the 2009 Ferrari 458 Italia, the 2015 Lamborghini Huracán and the 2013 McLaren P1™. With Forza Hub, players can collect their monthly Forza Rewards, check out the latest news from the Forza Motorsport world, vote on their favorite community creations, and much more.

For Honour (Xbox One)

With the Marching Fire update arriving in October, Ubisoft is getting For Honour into as many hands as possible. If you missed the earlier PC giveaway, here’s another chance.

Dead Space 3 (Xbox One & Xbox 360)

The third entry drew mixed reactions at launch as Visceral Games pivoted from pure single-player horror to optional co-op. Still, if you want a fun third-person shooter and an excuse to slice up Necromorphs with a friend one August weekend, this hits the spot.

Dead Space 3 brings Isaac Clarke and soldier John Carver on a journey across space to discover the source of the Necromorph outbreak on the frozen planet Tau Volantis. Scavenge parts, craft weapons, and survive avalanches, treacherous climbs, and the brutal wilderness.

Disney Epic Mickey: The Power of Two (Xbox 360)

The sequel adds co-op via Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. It’s split-screen only, but it’s drop-in/drop-out so anyone can join at any time.
