Imprint Films has announced five new Limited Edition Blu-ray releases arriving this September, focused on British classics from the 60s.
The latest additions to the Imprint Collection include the directorial debut of Richard Attenborough, a worldwide Blu-ray debut for a Len Deighton adaptation, and more.
Here’s everything included in the September lineup.
Oh! What a Lovely War (1969)
Eight years before Academy Award-winning director Richard Attenborough filmed his WWII epic A Bridge Too Far, he made his directorial debut with a satirical musical take on the First World War, with Oh! What a Lovely War.
Based on the 1963 stage musical, Attenborough assembled an extraordinary ensemble cast for this lavish epic: Laurence Olivier, Maggie Smith, Dirk Bogarde, Vanessa Redgrave, John Gielgud, John Mills, Kenneth More, Ralph Richardson, Michael Redgrave, Ian Holm, Edward Fox, and Susannah York.
Following the working-class Smith family as they are swept up in the tide of war, the film unfolds against the stylised backdrop of Brighton’s West Pier – a theatrical stage on which the entire catastrophe of 1914–1918 is played out with dark wit and growing horror.

The Strange Affair (1968)
Michael York, Jeremy Kemp and Susan George star in The Strange Affair, a crime drama from director David Greene (Godspell), based on the novel by real-life former policeman and private investigator Bernard Toms.
Fresh-faced rookie police constable Peter Strange arrives on the job full of idealism – but London has other ideas. When a seasoned and increasingly unhinged detective sergeant named Pierce gets wind of a compromising secret in Strange’s private life, the young officer finds himself blackmailed into the murky world of organised crime, corrupt police, and pornographers – all while Pierce pursues his own obsessive vendetta against mob boss Quince.
Emblematic of the swinging sixties, this stylish and sometimes quirky picture was shot on location in London, and is filled with twists, turns, and unmistakable British flair.

Only When I Larf (1968)
Hit spy novel author Len Deighton (The Ipcress File) co-produced this adaptation of his book, a globetrotting comedic caper from director Basil Dearden (The Assassination Bureau), starring Richard Attenborough, David Hemmings, and Alexandra Stewart as a trio of confidence tricksters living very well at everyone else’s expense.
Veteran conman Silas leads his two younger accomplices (the eager Bob and the calculating Liz) through an audacious scheme to swindle an African state out of a small fortune by palming off crates of scrap metal as anti-tank guns. But as the job unfolds across New York, London, and Beirut, the relationship between the three grows complicated, and they each start wondering whether they might do rather better without the others.
With a flamboyant Richard Attenborough in a “virtuoso performance” (Monthly Film Bulletin) donning disguises and chameleoning himself into various hilarious characters, David Hemmings spouting quick-flying one-liners, and an alluring Alexandra Stewart caught in the middle, Only When I Larf takes us around the world, finally making its worldwide Blu-ray debut in sparkling high-definition.

All Coppers Are… (1972)
Director Sidney Hayers (The Persuaders, The New Avengers) helmed this fascinating glimpse of Britain at the turn of the decade, with stars Martin Potter (Fellini Satyricon), Julia Foster (Alfie), and Nicky Henson (Witchfinder General).
Joe is a young married copper in Battersea, grinding through long shifts and a joyless home life, when he finds himself drawn to Sue – the girlfriend of Barry, a charming small-time crook he encounters on his beat. As Joe and Barry circle each other, each aware of the other’s interest in Sue, the line between law and lawlessness begins to blur in ways neither man anticipated.

And Then There Were None (1974)
Released in the US as Ten Little Indians, this marked the third time Agatha Christie’s timeless mystery had reached the big screen, armed with a superb ensemble cast including Richard Attenborough, Oliver Reed, Herbert Lom, and Elke Sommer, and directed by Peter Collinson (The Italian Job).
Ten strangers arrive by helicopter at a grand hotel deep in the Iranian desert, adjacent to the ancient ruins of Persepolis. Their enigmatic host fails to appear, but a recorded message does – levelling a serious accusation at each guest in turn. Before long, the guests begin to die, each death mirroring a line from a children’s nursery rhyme, and the survivors are forced to confront a terrifying truth: the killer is one of them.
