The team at Koei Tecmo Games managed to keep a secret and announced and shadow dropped Warriors: Abyss this morning, which has launched on all major platforms.

This game takes all of the action fans have come to expect from the Warriors franchise, with thousands of enemies, a lot on screen simultaneously, and an assortment of weapons you’ll use to defeat them all in battle. But it’s taken the series to something new this time, with Warriors: Abyss being a roguelite, allowing you to go again when you fall in battle.

The stages and items are randomly generated whenever you head into action, and there are 100 unique characters in the game, which change the way each stage plays as you can summon them in to help with your battles. The stages are also different than usual for the series, as you explore ‘Hell’ and are guided by ‘Enma, the King of the Underworld.’
