Remedy has announced they’ve decided to delay Alan Wake 2 by ten days to help spread out from all the games releasing in October.

Posting on X, the developer said:

“An update from the Alan Wake 2 team: we’re moving Alan Wake 2’s launch from October 17 to October 27.

October is an amazing month for game launches, and we hope this date shift gives more space for everyone to enjoy their favourite games.”

A totally fair call to make as October is packed with games like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Forza MotorsportAssassins Creed Mirage (recently moved up a week), and more.

They continued by saying that they “can’t wait to show you what everyone’s favourite novelist is up to in the Dark Place next week.” A reference to their appearance on Gamescom Opening Night Live, which will stream live next Wednesday, August 23.
