Apple TV 4K 4th Gen Announced For Australia With Siri AI And A19 Chip

Apple has revealed its fourth-generation Apple TV 4K. The new model introduces Siri AI, improved performance and support for four-speaker surround sound.

The biggest change, like its latest range of devices, is adding Siri AI for better, more natural conversation, such as asking for “award-winning TV shows.” The Apple TV 4K 4th Gen will also include four microphones on the box to support Siri AI integration and help when you lose the remote. The remote has also received a small upgrade with ‘Find My’ support.

According to Apple, the box also has 50% faster CPU performance and twice the GPU performance, thanks to the new A19 chips. It also includes a dedicated AV1 decoder to improve streaming.

The fourth-generation Apple TV 4K is available to pre-order now for $449 AUD, ahead of its November 13 release. Siri AI will be available in English in Australia at launch, with beta support also coming to older compatible Apple TV 4K models.
