Season 2 of Arcane will be the last but don’t take that as a bad thing. If it keeps up the quality of the first, this could end up being some of the best two seasons of anything you’ve watched.

Fans of League of Legends will be able to recognise the personality and look of some of their favourite characters in the latest trailer for Arcane, but the series is simply building upon what it set up in the first season. Vi and Jinx/Powder are now on opposite sides of the law following Jinx’s attack on the council in the final episode of season one.

Netflix or Riot haven’t shared much information in regards to this season, but it is indeed the last  but not the last League of Legends animated series.

Arcane is just the beginning of our larger storytelling journey and partnership with the wonderful animation studio that is Fortiche,” said Arcade co-creator Christian Linke during a League Dev Update. “From the very beginning, since we started working on this project, we had a very specific ending in mind, which means the story of Arcane wraps up with this second season. But Arcane is just the first of many stories that we want to tell in Runeterra.”

The second season of Arcane will arrive on Netflix in November 2024.
