Let’s look at the Australian Box Office results from Thu 11th Sep 2025 – Wed 17th Sep 2025.
It’s all about the anime and specifically Demon Slayer at the box office this week. The brand new film, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle, the first in a trilogy that will close out the anime, has been released, and it seems Aussies are big fans, with the film jumping straight into the top spot at just over $5M. Not so surprising to see Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale in the top three with its debut as the last film in the series, but numbers are lower than when the series was at its high.
